The entry requirements for this programme have been revised.
To join the programme, you must be a practitioner who is a member of a UK-recognised Professional Statutory Regulatory Body (PSRB).
You should typically have a degree equivalent to UK first-class or second-class honours (2:2 or above) in a relevant healthcare-related subject. Applicants with a third-class honours degree or a Diploma in a relevant healthcare-related subject, who have adequate clinical experience may also be considered.
You will need to demonstrate your ability to study at Masters level, evidenced within your application by your prior studies and/or experiential learning.
Your employer must also confirm that you are suitable for the role of advanced clinical practitioner in their organisation, with access to the appropriate workplace environment to gain relevant clinical experience throughout the programme, including appropriate clinical supervision by a designated Coordinating Education Supervisor and Associate Workplace Supervisors to meet Health Education England (HEE) requirements.
Working with your employer/workplace organisation, you should have a suitable job role identified for when you are qualified, compliant with the requirements of Health Education England Centre for Advancing Practice, that will direct your programme of study.
Applications must be supported by a reference from your current employer.
An interview forms part of the selection process to confirm that you meet the criteria and to consider your potential pathway through the programme.

Tuition fees for full-time study on this MSc are £6,120 for UK and EU students and £13,250 for international students enrolling on the programme in academic year 2020/21.
Tuition fees for part-time study on this MSc are £34 per credit for UK and EU students enrolling on the programme in academic year 2020/21, i.e. £680 per 20 credit module. 180 credits are required to complete a Masters degree.
Tuition fees for full-time study on this MSc are £6,300 for UK students and £13,500 for international students enrolling on the programme in academic year 2021/22.
Tuition fees for part-time study on this MSc are £35 per credit for UK students enrolling on the programme in academic year 2021/22, i.e. £700 per 20 credit module. 180 credits are required to complete a Masters degree.
Tuition fees for EU students enrolling on postgraduate courses in academic year 2021/22 are still to be announced. If you are a prospective EU student, you are advised to check this page regularly and once the position has been confirmed we will update this information.
The University may administer a small inflationary rise in part-time postgraduate tuition fees in subsequent academic years as you progress through the course.

Although the overall tuition fee amount remains unchanged, how the fee payments are split between each year of the course has changed. For September 2022 entry, the tuition fee will be £4,625 a year, instead of £5,250 in Year 1 and £4,000 in Year 2, subject to any increases in regulated fees by the Government for Year 2 in academic year 2023/24.

IELTS requirement changed to 6.5 overall with a score no lower than 6.0 in each individual component (or an equivalent English language qualification).

For September 2021 entry, the full-time programme is available to study as a face-to-face programme or online course. The part-time programme is available for September 2021 entry face-to-face only.
