Edge Hill Sport offers a diverse selection of fitness classes, ranging from calming stretch-based yoga to high-intensity aerobic workouts. These classes are designed to accommodate all fitness levels and preferences. Each session is led by our fully qualified and experienced instructors, who are here to help you get the most out of your workout in a safe and supportive environment.
Sports Centre membership
All our fitness classes are included with your Sports Centre membership, so with this you can join in as often as you like at no extra cost!
Classes after 4.30pm are classed as during peak times, so if you are on an off peak membership and would like to do a class during peak time then you can pay as you go for that class.
If you have a Sports Centre membership, please remember to register your visit before your class starts. You can do this by swiping your membership card at any of the following locations:
- Main Pool door
- Dance Studio door
- Fitness Suite door
Pay as you go
If you do not have a Sports Centre membership, you can simply pay as you go for our classes. You would just need to sign up as a casual member free of charge and pay for your classes at the time of making the booking. This can all be done on our online system.
Booking
To make sure you get a place on your chosen class, please book it advance using our easy-to-use online system. This can be done up to 7 days in advance of the class date and before the class start time.
Our classes are designed to suit all fitness levels. If you’re new, we recommend arriving a little early and having a quick chat with the instructor — they will help make sure the class is right for you and answer any questions you might have.

- 14 years and over for Running Club, Konga, Legs, Bums & Tums, Total Tone, and Zumba.
- 16 years and over for all other classes.
If you are aged 14–15 years and wish to attend the 14+ years classes, you must add the Casual Junior (U16s Class) membership category to your existing Casual Junior or Junior Active Plus Membership. Proof of age may be required.
If you are unable to attend a booked class, you must cancel your place at least two hours before the class start time via the online system or by contacting reception:
Failure to cancel within the required timeframe will result in a charge to your membership account.
