Postgraduate Mental Health

If you want to support those experiencing mental health issues, our choice of Masters degrees enable you to specialise in child mental health and wellbeing, explore mental health awareness in community and professional sport, or train for innovative new roles within community mental health or education mental health teams.

MSc Child & Adolescent Mental Health & Wellbeing examines individual differences, personal attributes and motivations in how children and adolescents behave, while MSc Sport, Physical Activity and Mental Health explores the design, implementation and evaluation of sport and physical activity initiatives which promote mental health.

Alternatively, you may wish to pursue a career in the emerging roles of mental health and wellbeing practitioner or education mental health practitioner, develop the skills and knowledge to offer effective low intensity supervision as part of a Mental Health in Schools Team, or engage in mental health research.

You can also train in mental health nursing, via a pre-registration or second registration route.
