The University sent you information about the terms and conditions of your contract with the University when we made you an offer of a place. As you are now confirming your enrolment, we now ask you to declare your commitment to the terms and conditions that you will be bound by:
1. Complying with Rules and Regulations
1.1 I understand that when I accept any offer of a place at Edge Hill University (the University), I am agreeing to comply with the requirements of the University’s Regulations, Rules, Codes, Conditions, Policies and Procedures which apply to all students.
1.2 I understand that all relevant Regulations, Rules, Codes, Conditions, Policies and Procedures are available via the Student Homepage.
2. Data Sharing
2.1 I have read and understood the contents of the Student Data Collection Notice (which is available by clicking here) and I permit Edge Hill University, the Government or their respective agents to check the accuracy of personal information I provide against external data sources.
2.2 I understand that if I disclose information about challenges faced in my studies or wider student life, this information may be shared with appropriate staff or services within Edge Hill University to ensure that I can be offered support. This may relate to a number of areas including (but not limited to) health, academic, wellbeing and/or money issues. I understand that if I do not wish for this information to be shared, I must make this clear at the point of disclosure and I accept that limiting the sharing of information may limit the support the University is able to provide.
3. Payment of Tuition Fees
3.1 I accept full responsibility for payment of all tuition fees associated with my studies, regardless of third-party sponsorship or external funding, and I agree to pay tuition fees by the payment dates published by the University.
3.2 I understand that if I withdraw, or interrupt my studies temporarily, I may be liable for a fee in accordance with the University’s Home Tuition Fee Liability Procedure. Note that for international students, the International Student Fee Policy applies.
3.3 If you have sponsorship through your employer or Trust, it is your responsibility to ensure that the University is provided with written confirmation, by purchase order, for each academic session and which complies with the requirements set out in our guidance. This also includes employer-initiated study.
3.4 I understand that non-payment of fees could result in my registration being reviewed and referral of debt to an external debt collection agency and legal recovery may commence.
3.5 I understand that if I have outstanding academic-related debt to the University at the time of graduation, regardless of any active payment plan, I will not be eligible to attend graduation, and the debt will be immediately referred for external collection. Formal certification will also be withheld until full payment has been received. This includes students who are registered for an Edge Hill award or credit at a partner institution of the University.
4. International Students
This section only applies to you if you are an International Student.
4.1 I understand and accept that the University is required to inform the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) if I stop attending classes.
4.2 I understand that it is a UKVI requirement to provide the University with my UK address and contact number. Contact details can be updated here.
4.3 I agree to inform the International Compliance Manager immediately if there is any change relating to my immigration status or attendance and registration at the University.
4.4 I agree to inform the International Compliance Manager of any plans to travel outside of the UK during term time. I understand that I am not allowed to study online from outside the UK.
4.5 I accept that for the duration of my studies, my status will remain as ‘overseas’ for the purposes of tuition fees unless:
(i) my fee status is changed in accordance with the rules set out in the regulations set by the Government’s Department for Education
or
(ii) there has been an error in assessing my fee status.
4.6 I agree to the University reserving its right to amend my tuition fees accordingly.
5. Legal Status of the Contract
I understand that by enrolling onto the programme of study I am entering into a legally binding contract.
I certify the details that I am submitting are correct.
