If you are a Fastrack mature student, you can apply for non-repayable funding towards travel expenses, childcare costs and/or accommodation costs. Our money matters guide details fees and funding support available to all  Fastrack students.

Postgraduate mature students may be eligible for extra funding or a waiver of fees. There are several internal and external grants, bursaries, scholarships, and studentships to consider. If you studied with us at an undergraduate level, you may be eligible for a fee remission through our Progress to Postgraduate Award

If you are a full-time undergraduate student with children, you may be eligible for supplementary student finance grants. The Parents’ Learners Allowance and the Childcare Grant are non-repayable, and are paid on top of other student finance.

The UniSkills Team run various workshops to support your academic journey and skillset including their Returning to Learning programme. This workshop reconnects you with further education, introducing you to advisors and other students in a small group setting

Expand your knowledge outside of the classroom with free online tutorials via LinkedIn Learning. As an Edge Hill student, you’ll have free access to the platform and the wide variety of training tools available. 

TAP is your chance to connect with current mature students at Edge Hill. You can browse the student profile, ask an ambassador a question, and discuss student life.

The Widening Access and Participation Team offer bespoke mature student sessions on introduction to HE, how to apply, and mock interviews.

The Money Advice team offer 30-minute virtual and telephone appointments. The team can offer guidance on all money-related matters including student funding and personal finance.

Our careers team are dedicated to helping students develop their employability. They offer all students opportunities to gain transferrable skills, acquire relevant work experience, and develop their confidence. Mock interviews and personal statement workshops are also available. Book an appointment or head to the Careers Corner in Catalyst for a drop-in session.
