Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine
Welcome to the Faculty of Health, Social Care & Medicine, one of the largest providers of health, social care and medicine education in the North West of England.
Our award-winning Ormskirk campus combines 160 acres of landscaped grounds with cutting-edge architecture, including our new £14 million Student Hub. The Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine is housed in a £14 million purpose-built building with some of the best facilities for health and social care students in the country. Our teaching and learning resources provide leading edge clinical skills facilities and ward stimulations. This includes industry standard equipment to give you as realistic a learning experience as possible.
Whilst our main base is at Edge Hill University’s Ormskirk campus, we also have bases at Aintree University Hospital, St James’ Manchester, and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Our Postgraduate Centre at Aintree Hospital has undergone a complete refurbishment to provide a dedicated base for those undertaking professional development study.

Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre
With a multi-million-pound investment, the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre (CSSC) has been designed to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of today and tomorrow.
Use the facilities to learn necessary skills for your chosen course and take part in a range of simulation scenarios. These scenarios are designed to replicate real-world conditions, enabling you to safely practice situations that you might be confronted with on placement or when qualified.
