The St James’ campus is ideally located on Manchester’s Oxford Street and is surrounded by a wide range shops, café’s, restaurants and bars. Or if you fancy something quick, we’ve got plenty of vending machines dotted around the building for snacks and drinks.
Getting here
By road
Via the M602, continuing on the A57 and A57 (M) before joining the A5103 towards Manchester City centre. Turn right onto Whitworth Street proceeding past Manchester Oxford Road station. St James’ is located on Oxford Street.
Vehicles are prohibited from travelling along this part of Oxford Street between 6am – 9pm except for buses, taxis & permit holders.
There is no parking available at St James’, but there are numerous car parks in and around the Oxford Road area. Charges vary from site to site and the time of day you arrive to park. NCP parking charges.
St James’ can be found on the right between Patisserie Valerie and Fretwell’s hairdressers. The entrance is underneath the clock face. Please note, that the University does not have parking facilities at St James’.

By rail
St James’ can be easily reached on foot from Manchester Oxford Road station.
From the Station Approach road, you will come to a crossroads with Sainsbury’s on one side and the Palace Theatre opposite. Cross to the front of the Palace Theatre and continue past the entrance doors for a short distance along Oxford Street.
St James’ can be found between Patisserie Valerie and Fretwell’s hairdressers. The entrance is underneath the clock face.
