Once you join Edge Hill University as a student, you’re automatically enrolled as a member of our Edge Hill Students’ Union (EHSU). Located within the heart of our beautiful campus, your Students’ Union is the perfect place to find like-minded people and meet your Edge Hill family.

The EHSU team are also available to answer your questions and support you during your time here. Visit the Advice Centre to book an appointment or feel free to email them direct with any queries.

Supporting your student experience

The Edge Hill Students’ Union (EHSU) is run by students, for students. Your elected Student Union officers are committed to supporting and engaging you during your time studying with us.

Your voice

The team are committed to having your voice be heard and are here to represent you throughout each year of your studies. They offer a place for you to share your suggestions and feedback on your experiences.

They’re also a team chosen by you. You have the chance to get involved in voting in your officers during elections to have your say on who you’d like to represent you.

We know starting university can be a big adjustment and the EHSU are here to guide you.

The Students’ Union Advice Centre is a free, independent service, offering advice on a range of issues including:

• academic issues
• accommodation
• wellbeing
• budgeting or managing your money

Your event planners

They are also here to enhance your student experience, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy on campus.

This includes supporting the of running of events and activities on campus. They help to bring the best nights out and daytime activities right to your door.

And, every penny you spend in your Students’ Union goes right back into funding their service to support you further. So when you eat, drink or party with us, you’re helping to ensure Edge Hill can be better for everybody.

Your new Students’ Union

Your Students’ Union is here to help to enhance your student experience at Edge Hill. As such, we’re committed to investing in your team to provide you with the facilities and opportunities to find what excites you, meet like-minded people, and create lifelong memories on our campus.

As part of this, we’ve invested £8.4m in your brand new Students’ Union building on campus. The new space houses open indoor spaces, which can be used for more interactive experiences, from daytime catch ups to evening events. Also home to our new SU bar, a great space to relax with friends and get involved with what is happening on campus.

There are many discounts and offers available to Edge Hill students. Students can purchase a TOTUM (formerly NUS Extra) card in person from the Students’ Union shop or online via the TOTUM card website. Save money at over 250 massive brands including Co-Op, Boots, Grenade and Amazon Prime Student.

Gather your friends for a fun night out at our new Students’ Union bar. Team up for a quiz, catch the big match or join in one of our legendary karaoke nights. You can also explore activities outside our campus, checking out all that Ormskirk town has to offer.

Sport and leisure

With Edge Hill Sport, you’ll have access to everything from a 80-station fitness suite and exercise classes to a 25m swimming pool, running track and 3G outdoor pitches. Stay active, play recreational sport for fun or compete for university sport clubs.

Arts and culture

Our Arts Centre has a full schedule of events, live shows and film screenings for you to explore. You can even get involved with showing off your own talents. Develop your creative knowledge and passions, discovering our inspiring community along the way.
