Not on campus, not to worry

Even if you’re not available on campus to join in with the many events listed above, there’s lots of support you can also explore online:

A worry shared, is a worry halved

Throughout Wobble Week, you can anonymously share thoughts, tips and reflections on your dedicated Wobble Walls. These will be available in person and online, with daily prompts for you to answer, helping to create a supportive community where everyone can learn from each other’s experiences.

Your quiet space

There will be a dedicated quiet space available throughout Wobble Week for anyone needing a little time to rest, recharge or simply take a break from the busy campus environment. Willow Training Room on the first floor of Catalyst will be open daily from 8am to 5pm as a drop-in space where you can relax and unwind at your own pace.

Inside you’ll find comfortable seating, sensory resources, mindful activities, calming visuals, quiet music and opportunities for creative reflection, including peace pebbles and Lego activities. Let Willow be your welcoming space to pause, reset and take a moment for yourself during Wobble Week.

Check in with your tutors for on-programme support

As always, check in with your personal academic tutors and departmental administration teams to find out more about on-programme support. Your academic departments offer a wealth of learning and support and can also signpost you to central support teams.

Student Buddies scheme

If you’re a first-year student you can also access additional support from a Student Buddy. This new scheme connects first-year students with experienced peers who can help you navigate university life, build confidence, make connections and find the support you need throughout your first year at university.

Support is here whenever you need it

Wobble Week is a reminder that support is available all year round. Whether you’re in need of wellbeing advice, study skills, financial or faith support, careers guidance or opportunities to make new connections, there’s a team who can help.

And if you’re ever unsure what support you need, your Catalyst Helpdesk is a great place to start:

So, remember, you are not alone on your student journey and small connections can make a big difference. Take a break, meet new people, cuddle a therapy animal and rediscover your support this Wobble Week.
