EHU Student Services are now providing face to face support at Manchester St James’.

Wellbeing

Appointments with the wellbeing team are available via phone or teams by booking via the Mental Health and Wellbeing portal, with face to face appointments available on request by emailing [email protected].

Student Support and Inclusion

Support is available from Student Services virtually and face to face appointments are available on request. Student Services will also be at Induction, Welcome Fairs and other events throughout the year.

The Money Advice Team

The Money Advice Team provides guidance on all money‑related matters, including Student Finance, personal budgeting, and support with applying to the Student Support Fund.

We offer face‑to‑face, phone, and virtual MS Teams appointments, which can be booked up to one week in advance. Appointments are 30 minutes long and follow‑up appointments can be arranged where needed. Extended appointments are also available for students with disabilities who may require additional support.

The team can help you manage your finances by exploring your Student Finance entitlement, supporting you with banking and budgeting, and signposting to further help if you have money worries. We can also advise you on how to keep your money safe.

Student Life

Student Life run a varied and ever‑changing programme of free activities throughout the year — from therapy animals, breakfast and giveaways to a range of ad hoc events to brighten the day and bring the campus together. To keep up with what’s happening and explore the full events calendar, head to the Student Life Portal.

Faith & Community

During term time, support from the Faith and Community Team is available throughout the week. Rev. Dave Lawson hosts a twice‑weekly Pop‑up Chaplaincy space, details of which are advertised regularly on the Student Life Portal.

Specific faith support can be provided on request, and members of the team are present at various events throughout the academic year.

Edge Well 24/7

Support is also available via Edge Well 24/7 – A confidential, 24/7 support service available to all Edge Hill students, every day of the year. If students are feeling overwhelmed by exam stress, mental health concerns, finances, relationships, or any other challenges, they can speak to a qualified professional for immediate support. Free structured therapy sessions are also available via phone or video.

As part of our Edge Well 24/7 service, students can also access MUNNY* for confidential financial wellbeing support, budgeting and money‑management tools, as well as 24/7 access to eM (the AI money coach). Please see here for how to access support through the Edge Well service.

*MUNNY provides students with practical, tailored financial education and support to help them manage their money confidently. Through personalised 1:1 coaching, expert‑led webinars, and skills‑focused workshops, students can build essential life skills in budgeting, debt management, housing decisions, and preparing for full‑time employment.
