Dave is an experienced educationalist and education manager with research experience. His has published twenty four peer reviewed articles, four book chapters, edited one book, and delivered twenty six conference or poster presentations.

Dave’s current responsibilities include the coordination of formal evaluative research, and he is currently coordinating a number of commissioned evaluations. These include an evaluation of the impact of a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of healthcare acquired infection, an evaluation of the impact of an RCA of pressure ulcer formation, and the impact of loss within fostering. Dave is also researching prevalence of respiratory disorders in the prison sector and the appropriateness of current interventions. Two recent commissioned publications include an evaluation of the impact of ‘Open and Honest Care’ for NHS England, and a review of the impact of texting people with long term conditions for Sefton CCG.

Dave’s professional experience has included programme manager for a range of postgraduate and undergraduate academic programmes, and for the past 15 years as Head of Academic Provision at Respiratory Education UK Dave managed a national education team. He has significant exprience of project management and completion.

Daves research publications have included papers or poster presentations on compliance with respiratory drugs; difficult asthma, reliability in spirometry and inhaler technique. His current research interests include prevalence and epidemiology of respiratory disorders, and the impact of loss experienced by foster carers.

Daves current role, Innovation Lead, involves facilitating engagement between Faculty of Health and Social Care and PGMI staff and external collaborators.
