The Faculty of Health and Social Care has been commended by the Quality Assurance Agency for the quality of teaching and learning, student progression and learning resources.
Edge Hill University has ranked in the top three in the North West for overall student satisfaction in every National Student Satisfaction Survey so far. Results from the National Student Survey 2013 show Edge Hill University students to be the most satisfied in the region. Based on the average of the responses to all 23 questions in the survey for 2013, the University is ranked top in the North West.
The University is also top in the North West for Teaching Excellence in the Sunday Times University Guide 2012, and was Times Higher University of the Year 2014/2015. We have been rated top six in the UK for Courses and Lecturers on WhatUni.com by our students reviewing their experiences.
We continue to invest in state-of-the-art facilities for our students with £150m invested in developments at our Ormskirk campus over the last decade, including a £14 million Faculty of Health and Social Care building housing some of the best facilities for health students in the country.
The Faculty’s Postgraduate Centre at Aintree Hospital, Liverpool has also recently undergone a complete refurbishment to provide a dedicated base for health and social care professionals undertaking professional development study.
The University’s ambitious plans for expansion include a planned investment of £220m by 2020.
