What is Thrive?

Starting university can be both exciting and overwhelming, especially if you’re unsure what to expect from university life.

To support you through your transition to university, and throughout your first year with us here at EHU, eligible students will receive enhanced communications highlighting exclusive Thrive Opportunities. These are designed to help you build a sense of belonging, develop confidence, and make the most of your time at Edge Hill.

What does Thrive include?

Thrive Opportunities are focused on two key elements. You can take part in as whichever activities and events as you like, based on your interests and availability:

Elevate: Self-development opportunities to help you be the architect of your own success

Who is eligible?

Thrive eligibility criteria is based on the latest data to ensure our support reaches the students who need it most, when they need it most.

You will will hear from Thrive if you are a UK home undergraduate student and meet one or more of the criteria below for the 2026–27 academic year:

  • Students who meet our Fair Entry Criteria
  • Students who are entering university with a vocational qualification
  • Black, Asian or Minority Ethic students

Thrive Fund

The Thrive Fund is an exciting new initiative which will contribute financial support to helps you to take part in activities which enhance your employability, build your confidence and develop your transferable skills.
