English Subject Network Hub

Edge Hill University’s English Hub is a space for English teachers in our Partnership to come together in our shared passion for English. We hope that this will be more than CPD, offering opportunities to contemplate English as a discipline we all fell in love with, and providing a creative outlet for the self-expression we foster in our pupils, but sometimes neglect in ourselves.

This year, our English Hub will focus on re-igniting our passion for English and we are developing sessions around the following themes:

  • Decolonising English
  • Mindful writing
  • Writing in nature
  • Experiencing Shakespeare
  • Patchwork Poetry
  • Spoken Word

If you have an idea for a session or would like us to facilitate a session for you, please contact EnglishNetworkHub@edgehill.ac.uk

Wednesday 13 December – Multi-Culturalism in Policy and Practice

This session will include a 20-minute talk about the research of PhD student, Keisha Stewart. This will be followed by a discussion and an opportunity for you to shape the English Hub for the rest of the year.

4pm – 5pm. Online.
