Employability

Enhancing student employability is central to the University strategy. We recognise that a life-long capacity to learn and adapt is key to success for individuals, employers and society as a whole.

The majority of our programmes lead to professional qualification, accreditation or endorsement in addition to an academic award. Placements, work experience and study abroad are widely available in all Faculties, and our excellent links with employers mean that students have many opportunities to enhance their employability while they study.

Edge Hill is one of the top public universities in the country for graduate employment 96.9% of students employed or in further study within 15 months of graduating (Graduate Outcomes data released 2024 from 2021/22 graduates).

The Creative Edge building is an example of how our facilities support employability. Employer organisations that work with us use the industry-standard facilities in projects that students are involved with, and an Enterprise Suite provides a base for graduate start-up companies.
