English Requirements for Pakistani students

To study with us, you’ll need to show that you meet our English language requirements. There’s more than one way to do this, and we’ve made it simple to understand what’s accepted.

All students will need to provide one of the recognised English language tests. The scores you need will depend on the course level you’re applying for.

Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) entry requirements for Pakistani students

To be considered for an undergraduate course at Edge Hill University, you must hold one of the following:

A-Levels
International Baccalaureate
Recognised foundation course in the UK
Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) 80% + with at least 80% in specific subject
Two-year degree from a recognised university with 55%+

Postgraduate Taught programmes

To be considered for a taught postgraduate course at Edge Hill University, you must have obtained one of the following:

Applicants should have completed a four year Bachelor’s (BA) degree with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.6/4.0 or 65% (second class) – when studied 2015 or after.
A three year BA degree (with honours) with a GPA of 2.8/4.0 or 70%.
A two year BA degree plus a two year Master’s (MA) degree with both having a GPA of 2.8/4.0 or 70%.

Postgraduate Research programmes

If you’re considering research-based postgraduate study, we offer both MRes (Master of Research) and PhD programmes across a wide range of disciplines.

As part of your application, you will need to submit a Bachelors degree certificate and transcript with a minimum equivalent to 2:1, a research proposal, an academic CV, a scan of your passport, an IELTS with grade 7.0, budget sheet and a scan of your degree certificates/ transcripts with your application.
