- Recruited a new Trainee Editor.
Starting point
Bigtank are a team of established video experts based in Ramsbottom. They have built their reputation on traditional video production for corporate clients across a diverse range of sectors. Rob Hallam, Managing Director recognised that for the business to scale-up, it needed to explore the feasibility of entering a potential new market, and clarify the customer needs.
The opportunity
Rob was delighted to be accepted onto the programme. It gave him confidence that an opportunity he had identified for their service could be thoroughly explored before the business invested in it. The programme provided a great opportunity to support the team to focus on entering a potential new market with a new defined service offer to support business growth.
The journey
Rob attended the programme with his colleague Josh and soon realised the framework and tools used in the workshops were far from anything they had experienced before. The framework, tools and data used in the facilitated workshops helped Bigtank address the uncertainties associated with their opportunity. Bigtank explored the potential new market to help define and develop their new service offer.
The solution
Using their business data and research conducted at the University, Rob and Josh were able to address their new customer’s pain points and concentrate on the user needs. Bigtank developed an evidence-based solution to their new opportunity and identified who their target audience are. They developed a systematic process to drive their new concept forward. Since completing the programme the company has repositioned itself as a provider of high-quality tailored video content and targets organisations that experience common traits and issues surrounding HR activities. “Reel Impact” is a new service offering that creates impact and growth and helps to solve HR business challenges. Bigtank have been able to set performance targets with confidence all underpinned by a comprehensive growth strategy. The first quarter of 2019 has been the implementation phase of Reel Impact where they are building a specific page for the service as well as collating client statistics and marketing collateral to support their offering. They look forward to a full roll-out of the service in Q2 of 2019.
