Eligibility

Courses are available fully funded to employed people working in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Lancashire.

What is an SME?

An SME is a business with fewer than 250 employees and an annual turnover (income) of less than £42 million.

Employees of charities and public sector organisations are unfortunately not eligible.

The University reserves the right to offer preferential access to funded places to eligible participants from under-represented groups. We are particularly keen to support women, people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, and disabled people.

Funded places are limited to one per individual participant. Employers may send multiples of their employees and we encourage both aspiring and current managers to participate.

The CMI Management and Leadership Certificate and the CMI Coaching and Mentoring Award do not require any prior learning or academic qualification prerequisites. Those looking to undertake the CMI Strategic Management and Leadership Certificate must either hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) or hold significant leadership and management experience.

There are no costs to the business or individual employee for the programme – just a short-term, professional development commitment.
