A beach? In Ormskirk? Right here on campus? You heard right. Located in Eastern Campus, right next to Chancellors Court halls, you’ll find our secret beach. Okay, so it isn’t comparable to Southport or Formby, but it’s perfect for a spot of sunbathing after a summer study session.
Council Tax Exemption
Once you’re fully enrolled you’ll be able to request a Confirmation of Student Registration Certificate online. This certificate will be emailed to your Edge Hill email account, will act as proof of your enrolment on your course and can be submitted to your Local Authority for Council Tax exemption. This will be valid for the current academic session only.
Please note, Confirmation of Student Registration Certificates (CSRC) will only be available from the first teaching week of semester and this will differ depending on the semester dates of your programme. A button to request a CSRC will be made available via your Student Record on your Student Homepage during your first week of semester, if the button does not appear and you believe you are eligible for council tax exemption, please contact the Enrolment team at [email protected].
When you start, you’ll also be joining your very own like-minded community of individuals. From tutors and support staff to your soon-to-be classmates. You’ll be sure to create connections that last a lifetime and experiences that will shape your future.

Parking on campus
If you’re planning on driving to university, you can apply for your parking permit after enrolling.
Due to eligibility criteria, students living on-campus are not eligible to park on-campus, however there are some exceptions for students on placements.
The car park can get very busy during peak periods and parking permits don’t always mean you’ll get a space. So we always suggest building in enough time to park off campus if necessary. But, you can guarantee a parking place if you choose to car share.Find out more about parking at Edge Hill
Post and parcels
If you’re living on campus, the Post Room will send you an email when any mail or parcels are received for you. This email will include all the information about when and where to collect your mail. Please ensure that the address on any items you order contains your full name, room number, hall and the University’s address and that you read the email from post and print carefully as this may contain collection information changes.

When it comes to sustainability, there’s a lot going on beneath the surface of the Edge Hill campus.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. From using energy from renewable sources and ensuring halls of residence have the most efficient insulation systems, to the development of “green” roofs and campus beehives, the University campus is buzzing with ideas promoting sustainable development. Also, we’re now a hedgehog-friendly campus
And we don’t intend to stop there. These are projects which are being constantly reviewed, recycled and upcycled.
