Sociology and Social Sciences
MA Safeguarding in Sport, MA Social Sciences (Critical Autism Studies) and MA Social Sciences (International Childhood) provide you with a range of perspectives on safeguarding, autism and childhood and children's rights.
You can investigate the abuse and maltreatment of children and other athletes in sports environments, discover how discourses of autism shape autistic people's lived experiences, or gain a unique international perspective on childhood and children's rights.
Whichever of these specialist courses you choose, you will have opportunities to gain practical experience and enhance your employability, such as through work-based learning and an international field trip.
If you're looking for a shorter course, we also offer a PGCert Social Sciences (Critical Autism Studies).
Alternatively, if you want to focus on a particular aspect of social sciences in depth, our MRes Masters by Research or PhD Doctor of Philosophy provide opportunities to do so.
