Edge Hill University will train physician associates from 2019, recruiting graduates who are looking to undertake medical training to work under the supervision of doctors as part of a multidisciplinary team. Physician associates carry out tasks such as taking medical histories, examining patients, diagnosing illness and planning and managing treatment.
Our postgraduate professional development portfolio in Medicine also includes an MMed Medicine which offers a range of specialist pathways for experienced, qualified doctors who are registered with the General Medical Council.
In addition to this, there are opportunities for senior registrars, new consultants or general practitioners to enhance their skills and understanding on our PGCert Medical Leadership, as well as a dedicated Medical Leadership and Management pathway on MSc Leadership Development.
Alternatively, you may wish to specialise in advanced fertility practice, clinical education, surgery or workplace-based postgraduate medical education, or undertake a research degree and focus on the production of a substantial piece of work in a particular aspect of medicine.
