Undergraduate Provision
- Summer internships – A 4 week summer programme offer for students on the MBChB programme.
- Intercalation – The opportunity for current 3rd year MBChB students to undertake a fully funded Masters project (12 months).
Specialist Training
- Academic Clinical Fellowship – This is for individuals who have completed their foundation training and wish to combine their clinical work with research training. As an ACF you are funded to spend 25% of your time over a period of 3 years in a formal research programme.
Academic research offers an exciting and rapidly expanding career path for clinicians. The Integrated Clinical Academic Training (ICAT) programme, supported by funding from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), provides structured training and mentorship to help clinicians pursue clinical academic careers.
