The University excelled across the board in the Uni Compare UK rankings for 2026, based on positive student testimonials and ratings.
In addition to ranking top for accommodation, Edge Hill was also highly rated in other key areas:
- 6th place – overall UK ranking.
- 5th – course quality;
- 9th – employability, a huge jump up by 31 places on last year;
- 5th – overall England ranking;

The Uni Compare league tables offer a comprehensive look at UK universities, drawing on feedback from current and past students to help future students make informed choices. They cover key areas like course quality, graduate careers, social life and accommodation.
This success is the latest of Edge Hill’s recent award wins including:
- top 4 university in the North West, Complete University Guide 2025;
- the ‘Creating the Best Student Home’ title by Association for Student Residential Accommodation in 2025;
- UK top 20 for university facilities, Whatuni student Choice Awards 2025;
- 6th most affordable university in the UK in the A-Level tutors Solar Tuition 2025 study.
