Did you know that Edge Hill offers an array of scholarships and awards for current students?

Whether it’s rewarding excellence and celebrating success outside your studies. Or overcoming adversity and inspiring others. Our scholarships recognise and celebrate your determination and commitment.

Are you proud of something you have achieved outside of your studies?

From championing mental health awareness and raising money for charity. To teaching young people and volunteering to help others less fortunate. Our previous scholarship winners have demonstrated their achievements to us.

Alex Johnstone, an Educational Psychology student, was awarded an Excellence Scholarship. Alex shared with us why she decided to do it, how easy the application process was and what she hoped to get out of it.

I’d been involved in a range of volunteering work and my Work-Related Learning Coordinator, Andrea, suggested that I should apply for one of the many EHU scholarships available for current students.

I’ve been with the Girlguiding movement for 15 years. It has taken me from the most basic of fundraising initiatives to the excitement of a trip to Mexico where I had the opportunity to work alongside Guides from all over the world. I was also lucky enough to receive both a Baden Powell Award and Young Leader qualification.

It was really easy to apply for a scholarship – on the webpage you can check your eligibility and ask questions before submitting. You do need to spend some time on the application and provide a reference, but it wasn’t a difficult process.

It’s great that EHU has recognised my achievements and allowed me to open up opportunities both within and outside of university.
