A big welcome to you if you’re starting at our Edge Hill St James’ campus soon. Here you’ll find updates and important info, as well as events, activities and initiatives which you can get involved in. We know that starting university is one of the most exciting times of your life. But we also know that between working out your timetable, making new friends and settling into a new place, you may not have had a chance to take in all your induction and welcome information.

So, we’ve brought some useful info together to help you settle in and to get the most out of your first few days.

Have you fully enrolled onto your course?

You should have completed Stage One of enrolment online before you arrived. You also need to complete Stage Two so you can access your online sessions and receive your student loan on time.

If you’re not sure how to complete enrolment, visit the enrolment FAQs page.

Are you familiar with your Induction timetable?

The timetable tells you what you’re doing and where you need to be. You can view yours on your undergraduate applicants’ page or postgraduate applicants’ page.

Get involved in Student Life

When you arrive, check out the student social space for somewhere to chill out, chat to friends, heat up your lunch or make yourself a hot drink.

We offer a free Student Life Breakfast at St James on Tuesday and Thursday 8.15-9.15am so you can start the day right. Find out what’s on by logging onto the Student Life Portal

Welcome Trade Fair and Exhibition

Wednesday 13 September,  10am – 3pm

This year it’s bigger and better than ever with a huge number of organisations including emergency services, Trade Unions, support services and social groups. See live demonstrations and make connections with potential future employers!
