Tickets
You will receive your e-tickets for the graduation ceremony via email. Tickets for both graduates and guests will be sent to the email address used at the time of booking. These emails are typically sent no later than 48 hours before the ceremony. Please ensure these are available for scanning, as they are required for entry.
It is the graduand’s responsibility to share guest tickets with their guests ahead of the ceremony.
If you have not received your tickets, please check your junk folder. If they are still missing, contact the graduation team for assistance.
When you register at the Sports Centre on arrival, you will be given tokens for a complimentary drink for yourself and two guests in the Hub. Please keep these tokens safe, as you will need to present them to receive your celebratory drinks after the ceremony.

Please note that the photography studios are busiest in the hour before the ceremony starts.
Staff will be on hand to answer any queries and discuss packages.

Ceremony screening
The ceremony will be streamed live in the Faculty of Education (Lakeside) building and the Rose Theatre in the Arts Centre.
Guests with e-tickets for the live stream may choose to watch the ceremony in either venue. Please note that if one venue reaches capacity, guests will be directed to the nearest alternative location. Both venues will open one hour before the ceremony begins, and guests are kindly asked to take their seats at least 15 minutes prior to the start time.
Reserved seating in the front rows will be available for guests with limited mobility or those who may find it difficult to use steps. Ushers will be present to assist and guide anyone who requires access to lower-level seating.
Guests attending with babies or young children may prefer to watch the ceremony from a screening room, which offers a more relaxed environment.
All ceremonies will also be streamed live online at, edgehill.ac.uk/graduation for family and friends to watch from home.

What to wear
Although you will be provided with your academic gowns on the day, you should also prepare a suitable outfit to wear underneath your robe. There isn’t a specific dress code, however graduands and their guests should dress as for a formal occasion. For practical reasons, it is recommended that all graduands wear garments with buttons on the front, as this will make it easier for your academic hood to rest. You should also bear in mind that as a graduand you will have to walk up and down steps in order to process and therefore we recommend that suitable footwear is worn.
Alternative arrangements will be made for those who cannot use steps, providing that this was indicated on your application form. If you did not indicate this on your application form you must advise the Awards Team immediately by emailing [email protected].
Health and Safety
Your safety is our priority. All graduates, guests and staff must follow Health, Safety and Fire instructions of the University and of the venues in use during Graduations.
