Employee Expenses & Associate Tutor Claims

Staff expenses are claimed through Selenity, an application that allows staff to claim expenses quickly, accurately and securely either online or through their mobile app. Colleagues should be able to sign in using their Edge Hill username and password. If you do not have access to Selenity, please contact the Payroll team by e-mailing [email protected] Following your initial log in, you will be required to complete the ‘My Details’ section, this will include your bank details, vehicle details along with business insurance and setting a separate password to use within the mobile app.

The ClaroRead Cloud OCR service gives you document conversion (OCR) from any browser on any desktop PC, laptop, tablet or phone. You select a document or take a photo, it is uploaded and returned to your file in a few seconds in the format you need - Word, PDF or plain text.

Minor Works Request

There is now an online system to submit Minor Works requests. This system is intended to assist all University Staff in putting together business cases for any Minor Works requirements for consideration by, departments, Facilities Management and Directorate. All works that result in changes to building services or infrastructure must be approved through the submission of a completed Online Minor Works Request form.

Work Drive (Staff Files)

Online access to network drives such as Stushare1, Staffshare1 and Home Folder. Stushare1 (X:) Drive is for accessing course related files and software. Some access is restricted based on departments/schools or faculties. Staffshare1 (Y:) Drive is for storing collaborative work related files where access is needed by multiple people or groups. This service is for all non-research data within the University. Access is based on departments/schools or faculties. Home Folder (Z:) Drive is for storing working files related to using Windows desktop PCs. You should use OneDrive for all other document storage such as reports, coursework, and any academic related documents.

Panopto Lecture Capture

Panopto fully integrates with Learning Edge to provide a seamless user experience. Panopto is a self-service lecture capture and media storage solution that allows you to record lectures and presentations within university teaching spaces. It can also be used at offsite venues on internet connected PCs and can be provisioned for use in staff office spaces. The system is managed by the Classroom Technology Support team in Learning Services. It provides selectable audio, video, Microsoft PowerPoint and screen capture. Elements of the capture can be selected by the user, (e.g. if only audio and Microsoft PowerPoint recording is required). The recording is automatically shared privately within the enrolment of the Blackboard course and can be shared with others internally and externally if required. All recordings are stored in a secure environment with authentication through Blackboard Learn 9.1. The ability to edit your recordings is also a feature of the Panopto system.

Qwickly Attendance

Qwickly Attendance provides the capability to create class registers within modules and courses in the Blackboard VLE. Marks for each learner can be recorded against the register to provide an overview of a students attendance.

TurnItIn

Turnitin is a plugin service within the Blackboard VLE that provides an assignment dropbox for the submission of online assessments for students within modules or courses. It is primarily used to compare submissions against a database of other content to check for similarities and score on likeness. Used to grade and feedback on assignment submissions.
