Discover Secondary and Further Education
Congratulations on your offer
We’re pleased to offer you a place on one our Secondary and Further Education courses. With outstanding academic facilities, fantastic study spaces, peaceful rooftop gardens and plenty of green space, you’ll find your place within our welcoming community. We’ve recently been awarded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted across all three initial teacher training age phases. So you’ll have the highest quality preparation and support, whether you’re aspiring to teach in a primary or secondary setting or stepping into a further education college.
Not only will you be joining our like-minded student community, but you’ll benefit from real-world experiences either whilst out on placement if you’re studying to be a teacher or whilst undertaking work experience modules on one of our exciting education programmes. We can’t wait to welcome you and show you how our informative teaching led by our research-active members of staff will put you at the forefront of both the practice and theory of education.

Education Society
Edge Hill’s student-led Education Society is sponsored by the National Education Union (NEU), who provide many CPD courses which can be recognised when applying for jobs and future study.
Joining Edge Hill’s Education Society is a fantastic opportunity, allowing you to expand your knowledge and gain additional experiences alongside your academic studies whilst also meeting people who share your motivations and ambitions.
Supporting you
When you become a student here, you’ll be allocated a Personal Tutor. They will be your main source of support in your academic department. They’ll be with you as you progress throughout your degree, supporting you in three areas: professional/career-related support, pastoral support and signposting you to information you need. But they aren’t just there when you need support. They are also there to celebrate your successes, help with planning your progress and much more.
