Faculty of Education (Lakeside)
Your department is located in the state-of-the-art Faculty of Education (Lakeside) building, overlooking a picturesque lake, forming the centre piece of our western campus and the hub of our teaching activity.
Our Lakeside building features a 300-seat lecture theatre, five well-equipped ICT suites and 18 further teaching rooms complete with the very latest technology, plus a popular café, where students meet to socialise and discuss their studies.
Meet our students
Everything you need is right here, on campus. From our 24/7 library, Catalyst, also home to our support teams, to numerous coffee shops and social spaces – even your very own bar and club. It’s all well and good hearing it from us, but what do our students have to say?
Edge Hill offers constant support for students no matter what the problem is, which is something I found very helpful in my first year.
I’ve been fortunate enough to complete my final year placement in a school in Cumbria – learning first-hand how rural schools operate and teach differently to city schools.
My placement has been a huge learning experience, as I had never attended an English high school. It was definitely the most memorable moment of my degree so far.
The course is not at all what I was expecting when I chose to study Religion. But in a good way. We look at religion through lots of different lenses, including sexuality, gender, feminism, family origins and disability, which I hadn’t even considered before.
