Online two-day supervision training on the Arts for the Blues model – towards becoming an Arts for the Blues supervisor/trainer. 

Course overview

Arts for the Blues is an evidence-based creative group psychotherapy model developed by Edge Hill University and the University of Salford following the Medical Research Council Guidelines for complex interventions. It is used with children and young people, adults and older people in hospitals, schools and community organisations with very positive outcomes. Attending this experiential training, you will be introduced to the specific Arts for the Blues supervision model. This experiential training will include:

  • a 5-stages model of creative supervision 
  • research and training material 

Following this two-day training, and if you want to work towards becoming an Arts for the Blues supervisor, you will be invited to supervise at least one Arts for the Blues group which will receive supervision of supervision by an Arts for the Blues registered supervisor.  

Who is eligible to attend? 

It is open to people who have completed two-days of training in the Arts for the Blues and have supervision training (or equivalent).

Course costs

  • £360 per person for the two day training.

Additional cost will be needed for supervision of supervision (for those want to register as Arts for the Blues supervisors).
