Overview

Social WorkOffering extensive opportunities to gain real-life experience working with diverse groups of service users, our Social Work programmes prepare you for a rewarding career supporting individuals and their families and tackling some of society’s most complex problems.

You can study our 3-year accredited degree in Social Work and gain eligibility to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Alternatively, you may wish to apply for one of our 4-year integrated Masters degrees, accredited by both the HCPC and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), which enable you to achieve dual registration as a professionally qualified social worker and nurse.

Social WorkThe Faculty of Health and Social Care is one of the leading providers of education and training for health and social care professionals in the North West of England.

Offering some of the best facilities for health and social care students in the country, the innovative £14m Faculty of Health and Social Care building provides outstanding teaching and learning resources. These include leading edge clinical skills facilities, ten teaching rooms, an 860-seat lecture theatre and a number of social learning spaces.

You can tour the campus, including the halls of residence, with a student guide. There will also be opportunities to attend presentations and view subject facilities.
