How can undergraduates guarantee a room?

We’ve made substantial investments in our accommodation in the last few years, and aren’t stopping yet. This means we aim to provide a room in our halls of residence for you, and all first-year, full-time UK and EU undergraduate students who want to live on campus. You just need to submit an application by an agreed deadline and make Edge Hill your firm choice to guarantee yourself a room.  Full details of the deadline will be sent to you nearer the time.

Our undergraduate offer guarantee

We want to make your application process as stress-free as possible.

All you need to do is make Edge Hill your first-choice university and we’ll guarantee you a place in our halls for Year 1 of your course. All new first year undergraduate students, from the UK and EU, starting full-time in September 2023 are eligible.

How do I apply for a room in halls?

Applying for halls is made up of the 4 easy steps below:

1

Accept Edge Hill University as your firm choice.

2

Receive your invite to apply email with information on accommodation self-assign.

3

From there, you can self-assign a room in the accommodation portal, pay the Advanced Rent Fee of £150 and sign your licence agreement.

4

There is nothing more to do until August when you can pay your hall fees either in full or by setting up a Recurring Card Payment (RCP) to align with the three student loan instalment dates.

When can I move into halls?

We open our doors to successful applicants the weekend before the start of Welcome Week. From the moment you step onto campus, there will be people on hand to make you feel part of our community.

Once you have completed enrolment, you’ll be given the keys to your accommodation. And then it’s all about getting you settled in.

Meet your flatmates, join a welcome talk and connect with the Campus Life team. They are there from day one to help you have a great university experience.

If you are successful in applying for accommodation in our halls of residence, you can expect to move in during the weekend before the start of Welcome Week.
