Winter on campus 2025

We hope that you’ve had a great first term with us and that we’ve been there for you if you needed any information, advice, or support. As we take a break for the festive season, we’ve put together some useful information about how student services, support and facilities will operate.

We wish you a wonderful winter break. And we look forward to seeing you in the New Year.

Before you go home for the winter break, make the greener choice and reduce the amount of energy that’s wasted while you’re not on campus. The smallest actions can lead to big impacts. Fill out our Winter Switch Off bingo to be in with a chance of winning some food vouchers to spend on campus. You can take part on your own or with your flatmates.

Current EHU students have until 9am on Friday 9 January 2026 to complete the bingo form. The winners will be selected after the closing date and will need to collect their prize in person by Friday 6 February 2026.

Housekeeping

The last housekeeping visit will be on Tuesday 23 December 2025, when housekeepers will provide each cluster with a supply of bin bags. You will need to put bags of rubbish in the outdoor bin area located by your halls. If you are unsure of where your bin area is, you should ask your housekeeper in advance. If you are leaving halls for the break, please clear out the fridge and switch off all lights to conserve electricity and prevent any food from spoiling. Housekeeping will resume on Monday 5 January 2026.
