Transition Day
Prospective students who feel transition support might be helpful before starting Edge Hill University are invited to attend a one-day event on campus.
The transition event aims to give students an opportunity to:
- Familiarise themselves with the campus environment.
- Meet other people who are starting their studies before September enrolment.
- Discuss academic, pastoral, or other support that may be needed.
- Prepare for the move to university, whether planning to live on campus or not.
- The opportunity to ask any questions or raise any concerns about starting university.
The event provides some useful tips on how to build resilience; make friends and meet new people; develop independent living skills etc. There is also an information session for parents/guardians/carers on the day aside from the event for students.
We are aware that this is a different experience which may present more and/or different challenges, so we encourage students to contact us once they receive an invitation from the team in the year they enrol on course.
Although we are pro-active and provide pre-entry support to applicants to help prepare them for their studies and university life, it does not mean that a place is confirmed until all pre-entry requirements are met, or the applicant has an Unconditional Offer from Edge Hill University.
