Specific entry requirements may differ for each programme, but the information below provides general requirements and some guidance. More information on specific courses can be found on our study pages. Each application is assessed on its own merit.
International Foundation Programmes
Students whose qualifications do not meet our general entrance or course requirements may need to take an International Foundation Programme to qualify for entry to an undergraduate degree programme.
Applicants should have passed year 12 (5.0/10) (Bằng Tốt Nghiệp Phổ Thông Trung Học).
For undergraduate courses, you should have at least the Upper Secondary School Graduation Diploma (5.0/10.0) (Bằng Tốt Nghiệp Phổ Thông Trung Học) plus an International Foundation Year or equivalent.
If you have already completed Year 1 of an undergraduate degree (Bằng Tốt Nghiệp Đại Học) at a Vietnamese university, you may be considered for entry to Year 1 of a Bachelors (BA) degree if you have studied relevant subjects.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
We are happy to accept students who have completed the IB qualification. We will use UCAS Tariff scores to assess a student’s suitability. Subject-specific requirements at Higher Level (HL) Grade 5 may apply. For clarity of entry requirements for the course you’re interested in, please contact the International Office.
Applicants who have completed a four year (BA) degree (Bằng Tốt Nghiệp Đại Học) from a recognised Vietnamese university will be considered for admissions onto a Masters (MA) degree.
- 6.5 out of 10 needed for admission onto courses that require a 2:2.
- 7.5 out of 10 for admission onto courses that require a 2:1.

What our students say
Thao Vy Thai
MA Tesol – 50% Ambassador Scholarship Recipient
“Edge Hill has welcomed me in the warmest way possible. During orientation week, I got to tour the beautiful campus of Edge Hill and the lovely town of Ormskirk. The International Office also took us to Conwy, a lovely town in Wales, and to the nearby city of Liverpool, on these trips I got to make good friends with people from several parts of the world. And the best part is that I love my course, the course leader, lecturers, and my classmates were all warm, welcoming and encouraging from the very beginning”
Vy has been blogging about her time at Edge Hill. You can read her blog online.
