Foundation entry requirements
To be considered for a foundation programme at Edge Hill University, you must:
- Successfully complete 12 years of education in China and attained the Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate (70%)

Undergraduate entry requirements
To be considered for an undergraduate course at Edge Hill University, you must meet one of the following:
- Students who have successfully completed 12 years of education in China and attained the Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate (70%) or equivalent and plus a recognised foundation programme.
- Gaokao (University Entry Exam) with good grades
- We will also consider students who have successfully completed one year of university in China for direct entry to first-year undergraduate programmes
- Applicants from PR China are welcome to apply with the assistance of the Ambright Education Group. Ambright applicants will be required to take the AST(Aptitude Scholastic Test) at centres in China. Ambright Education Group

Postgraduate entry requirements for

Postgraduate Taught programmes
To be considered for a taught postgraduate course at Edge Hill University, you must meet the following criteria:
- Students are required to have completed a four year Bachelor degree from a recognised university with a minimum average grade of 75% overall. 70% may be considered from ‘Project 211’ Universities.
A minimum equivalent grade of 2:2 is generally required, though some programmes may require a 2:1, relevant work experience, or additional qualifications.

Postgraduate Research programmes
If you’re considering research-based postgraduate study, we offer both MRes (Master of Research) and PhD programmes across a wide range of disciplines.
As part of your application, you will need to submit a research proposal, an academic CV, a scan of your passport, an English test, budget sheet and a scan of your degree certificates/ transcripts with your application.
