Governance, Quality Assurance and Student Casework

The Governance, Quality Assurance and Student Casework (GQASC) unit comprises three teams and our role is to ensure the University’s quality, standards and student outcomes comply with the Office for Students’ (OfS) whole regulatory approach.

Academic Governance and Quality Assurance

This team oversees the development and implementation of our processes for programme development and quality assurance.

Corporate Governance and Regulatory Assurance

This team supports the University and Board of Governors to uphold good governance principles and discharge our regulatory duties.

Student Casework

This team is responsible for managing and processing academic appeals and complaints. We also organise academic malpractice and fitness to practise panels.
