Clearing offers
Congratulations on gaining an offer of a place on one of our programmes. This offer is made on the basis of the personal details and academic qualifications that you have provided to Edge Hill University either by telephone or email or on your application form.
In order for your place to be confirmed, you need to ensure you complete all of the tasks mentioned below before each of the deadlines. Failure to do so may result in the offer being withdrawn and your place being offered to another applicant.
Checklist
You need to complete all tasks for your place to be confirmed. You should note the relevant deadlines that are imposed. The deadline is set in relation to the time your email was sent.

| 1 | Refer your UCAS Clearing Application to us – if you accept our offer, the next step is to refer your UCAS Clearing Application to Edge Hill University if you haven’t already done so. Further information on how to do this is provided below. If you haven’t applied through UCAS at all this year, please complete the UCAS registration form so we can register you with UCAS. | 2 days |
| 2 | Send us your qualifications – if you have applied through UCAS this year, we will be able to check the majority of qualifications through UCAS. However not all qualifications can be verified by UCAS, therefore we advise all applicants to send us copies of their qualifications to ensure we can confirm your place as soon as possible. | 3 days |
Referring your UCAS clearing application to us
If you have a 2023 UCAS application, you will need to refer your UCAS Clearing Application through your UCAS application to us for your place to be confirmed.
UCAS should have already provided information on how you can do this, however we have provided a step-by-step guide for you:
- Log into your UCAS application
- Click on Add Clearing choice*
- Select the Institution first – Edge Hill University is E42
- Select the Course Code – this is on your offer letter or email from us
- Select the location – Main Site
- Select Start Date
- Select Entry Point – select 1 for the first year of the course
- Live at Home – asks if you want to live in Halls or at Home
- Click Next
If you haven’t applied through UCAS at all this year, please complete the UCAS registration form.
Sending your qualifications
You should not wait until enrolment to send your qualifications to us, as this will delay your full enrolment onto the course.
