Postgraduate Enrolment
Enrolment is a quick and easy process that allows you to become a registered student of the University, activate your IT/Library account and release your finance from the Student Loans Company.
When the enrolment system goes live on Wednesday 27 August 2025, and you have met all the conditions of your offer, we’ll send you an email to begin the process.
The enrolment process is completed online, in two stages:
You will need to set up a password on your student account by completing the Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) process. Read the instructions for this process before you begin.
Please note, the alternative email that has been registered on your student account is the email you originally applied with.
If you receive an error message when you first try to complete this process, don’t worry. Our systems can take a little while to update and enable your access. Come back and try again in a few hours. If you’re still experiencing problems, contact our enrolment team by email or live chat.
If you have studied at Edge Hill in the past 12 months, you should already have a password for your student account and so you can go straight to completing stage one enrolment.
The first stage of enrolment will open on Wednesday 27 August 2025.
To complete this step, you’ll need to:
- provide the University with a valid form of ID (including a driving licence or passport).
- have a suitable profile photo ready to upload for your Unicard.
If your status is Unconditional Firm (UF) on, or after, the date enrolment opens, you’ll receive an email that contains the link you need to enrol along with other important details. If you don’t receive the email, please check your junk folder and then contact [email protected].
You should ensure that you’ve completed stage one by the deadline once it’s confirmed or earlier depending on your course start date.
As part of stage one, you are required to upload a photograph and identification. To prepare for this, please read the online guide.
After completing stage one, emails regarding enrolment will be sent to your Edge Hill email account. You’ll need to make sure this is set up before you complete stage two. To access your Edge Hill email account, please visit the Student Homepage.
Please note, you’ll only be able to set up your email once you have received your stage one email.
Read the online enrolment guide including details on ID and photo requirements.Once you’ve submitted your stage one enrolment, and the Enrolment Team have verified your photo and ID, you’ll be ready to complete stage two. We’ll send you a confirmation email with instructions to your Edge Hill email account (make sure you set this up before you arrive).
It is essential that you complete stage two to confirm your attendance on campus and release your student loan. You’ll need to do this when you first arrive on campus for your first induction session.
The second stage takes place when you first arrive on campus. To complete the process, you’ll need to:
- Log into Edge Hill’s wifi (it’s called Eduroam). You can use any type of mobile device or log into a networked campus PC.
- Open the confirmation email sent to your Edge Hill email account.
- Click the link in the email then log in using your student number and password.
- Click the ‘Enrol Online’ button.
Once you’ve completed these four steps you’ll have finished the enrolment process.
