Construction and refurbishment
Explore how we aim to construct and refurbish buildings and accommodation across campus that help to enhance sustainability and improve access for our students and staff.
Our objectives
To provide buildings that inspire staff, students and the wider community in their daily activities through actively supporting:
- The reduction of energy and water usage
- The implementation of our Waste and Resource Strategy to meet our stated KPIs
- Implementation of our Biodiversity Action Plan
- Implementation of EHUs Sustainable Procurement Policy
- The EHU Travel Plan and Policy
Targets
- Recycle at least 80% of all construction/refurbishment waste – ongoing target to be reviewed annually, to next be reviewed in September 2027.
- Implement the Heat Decarbonisation Plan across campus by 2030.
