Explore how we aim to construct and refurbish buildings and accommodation across campus that help to enhance sustainability and improve access for our students and staff.
Our objectives
To provide buildings that inspire staff and students in their daily activities through actively supporting:
- the reduction of energy and water usage
- the reduction of waste produced
- biodiversity
- sustainable procurement practices
- the travel plan
Targets
- Design and construct Central Campus development buildings to exceptional environmental standards by 2025.
- Recycle at least 80% of all construction/refurbishment waste – ongoing target to be reviewed annually, to next be reviewed in September 2025.
- Implement the Heat Decarbonisation Plan across campus by 2030.
