Postgraduate Psychology
Psychology is all around us. At Edge Hill we believe our research ambitions and commitment to supporting individuals and society sets us apart from the crowd.
We focus on achieving excellence and provide an environment where opportunity is everywhere. You’ll be supported by research experts and applied professionals in fields relevant to your studies, to help you advance your learning and professional development.
Postgraduate pathways
Our postgraduate pathways in psychology are your passport to further practitioner training and research. Our courses are designed to help you gain experiential insight into how you can apply psychology subject knowledge to personal and professional scenarios.
If you’re considering a career in psychology but have a degree in a different subject area, then our MSc Psychology (Conversion) can confer your eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society.
If you already have GBC with the British Psychological Society, and are seeking postgraduate practitioner routes, our MSc Health Psychology and MSc Coaching Psychology courses could be for you.
We also offer Masters by Research (MRes) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) routes for those who want to develop advanced research expertise and contribute new knowledge to the discipline, pathways that can lead to academic, applied or specialist professional careers.
Based in our £6m Law & Psychology building, you’ll develop uniquely human skills, and be able to demonstrate that you can think creatively, communicate effectively and collaborate on research projects.
We have a high proportion of experienced psychologists who bring practical expertise to your curriculum.
Discover our research labs. Get involved with projects and paid internships within the department, working with expert, research-active staff.
Our Coaching Psychology Clinic offers a bespoke environment for simulated skills training or supervised practice.
