Undergraduate Sociology and Social Sciences

Sociology and Social Sciences at Edge Hill combines a supportive atmosphere with cutting-edge modules like Critical Autism Studies and Youth Offending: we’re 6th in the UK – and 1st in the North West – for learning resources (National Student Survey 2024 – Sociology, social policy and anthropology). Discover Social Sciences at Edge Hill

The 21st century is complicated and rapidly changing. But studying social sciences gives you the chance to understand the world and your place in it. You can tailor your course to your own interests. Facilities

Sociology and Social Sciences students are based in contemporary facilities, a friendly and supportive learning environment in which to enjoy a rich and rewarding learning experience.

Our building features a large lecture theatre, small group teaching rooms, IT facilities and smaller tutorial spaces. There is also a large social area which encourages a more informal and interactive style of learning.
