Courses
Calling all experimenters, creative thinkers and problem solvers. Engineering at Edge Hill is your chance to explore a whole host of areas and become a specialist in electronic engineering, robotics, intelligent automation or mechanical engineering.
Edge Hill is home to a £13m Tech Hub. Here you’ll learn in our 3D Computer Augmented Virtual Environment (CAVE) and experiment in specialist labs with robots, e-pucks and microprocessors. With great industry links, you’ll meet employers like AO and Bentley Motors at our careers fair, and secure placements with top companies.
- Everything you learn is relevant to industry and you’ll work on real world projects. Our students programmed Robbie the Robot to help care for people with dementia through AI.
- Learn from a teaching team with specialist technical knowledge, carrying out vital research for international projects. One example is their work improving the safety of self-driving cars by programming them to recognise driver distraction.
- We’re 2nd in the North West for learning resources (National Student Survey 2021 – Computer Science). Develop your expertise in our £13m Tech Hub. Here you’ll find our 3D CAVE and state-of-the-art labs where you’ll master your practical problem-solving skills.
