If you are an international student wanting to study at Edge Hill University, we have a range of programmes available, including Taught Master’s degree programmes (MA, MSc), postgraduate teacher training programmes, Master’s by research (MRes) and doctoral programmes (PhDs and Professional Doctorates). As a postgraduate student, you will have the opportunity to undertake a placement to gain valuable work experience and further your career. If you have an IELTS score half a band lower (overall or in one or two elements) than the standard entry criteria for your target degree programme, you can consider joining our pre-sessional English course.

PhDs
If you would like to apply for a PhD at Edge Hill, please send in your research proposal to [email protected]. We will then liaise with the relevant academic department who will review the academic quality of the proposal. If the research proposal meets their requirements, they will check whether there is suitable supervision experience and capacity for the project. If there is a vacancy for a research student and if your proposal is accepted, you will be invited to attend an interview (this could be via Skype).You will then complete an application form and submit this with your supporting paperwork.
