If you are applying to Edge Hill University and don’t have the GCSEs or Level 2 qualifications required for entry onto your course, one of our equivalency programmes may be for you
The equivalency exams offer you the opportunity to demonstrate that you satisfy our entry requirements for GCSE English, GCSE Mathematics and GCSE Science at Grade C or Grade 4 or above for most of our programmes, excluding Medicine. They may not be suitable for apprenticeship programmes.
Tutor-led revision courses are delivered either face to face on campus or online (please see subject areas for more details), prior to sitting an exam on campus. You can choose to sit our exam only options either on campus or at Holy Cross College & University Centre on selected dates throughout the year.
If you are unsuccessful in passing any of our exams on the first instance you will have two further opportunities to resit at no extra cost.
The Edge Hill University Equivalency Exams are designed to meet the GCSE / Level 2 entry requirements for our degrees. Other providers do accept them. However, it is the responsibility of the applicant to check this.
