Equivalency Programmes

Overview

Two students listen attentively during a lecture. If you are applying to Edge Hill University and don’t have the GCSEs or Level 2 qualifications required for entry onto your course, one of our equivalency programmes may be for you.

The equivalency tests offer you the opportunity to demonstrate that you satisfy our entry requirements for GCSE English, GCSE Mathematics and GCSE Science at Grade C or Grade 4 or above for most of our programmes, excluding Social Work and Medicine.

We offer tutor-led revision courses in GCSE English, Mathematics and Science and Level 2 Numeracy. Alternatively, you can revise at home and sit standalone tests in GCSE English, Mathematics and Science or Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.

For Autumn 2020, all tutor-led revision courses courses will be delivered via blended learning, with most sessions online and a small number on campus (subject to Government advice at the time). You can choose to sit the standalone tests on campus on selected dates throughout the year.
