Your situation: accepted offers from elsewhere

We’ve outlined below the different scenarios you might find yourself in when you receive your results if you have previously accepted offers from other universities but now wish to study with us.

Scenario 1: I’ve met or exceeded the requirements of a conditional offer I accepted from elsewhere but now wish to study at Edge Hill University.

  • If you meet or exceed the terms of a conditional offer from another university that you made your firm choice, but no longer wish to take that place, we will be happy to discuss course options with you.
  • Please ensure that you have your UCAS personal ID number and your results to hand before you get in touch.
  • We will not be able to formally confirm your place until your original university agrees to release you into Clearing, however it is best to contact our Clearing team first to make sure we can offer you a place before you ask to be released from your original university.
  • From A Level results day on Thursday 18 August 2022, we will be able to provide instant decisions to most enquirers.

Scenario 2: I accepted an unconditional offer from elsewhere but now wish to study at Edge Hill University.

  • If you don’t get the results you need to meet your firm or insurance offers from other universities, you may still have your place confirmed at either institution. You should check your status on UCAS Track for clarification.
  • Alternatively, if you find yourself released into Clearing, you may be able to secure a place at Edge Hill University. Even if you turned down an offer from us previously, we would be pleased to reconsider your application.
  • You should contact our Clearing team, ensuring that you have your UCAS Personal ID number and your results to hand, and we will be happy to advise you.
