The University’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) provision encompasses courses in Computer Science, Engineering, Psychology, Geology and Geography, Sport and Physical Activity, and Biology and Biosciences. Industry-leading facilities include:

  • biosciences labs – offering DNA extraction and analysis equipment
  • The Tech Hub – home to a four-screen super immersive 3D virtual environment and programmable NAO robots
  • sport performance analysis labs including musculoskeletal assessment tools
  • geoscience labs with Geographical Information Systems technology
  • eye trackers, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) for examining brain activity and a ‘bar simulation laboratory’ for psychology research
