We know you want more than just an academic qualification. You want to graduate with real-life work experience that you can showcase to future employers, preparing you for the next stage of your career.
That’s why our students are developing digital marketing strategies that deliver real impact through the E-MERGE Digital Marketing Agency. Employers want you to be able to adapt to and lead in technological environments.
In partnership with IPEX, students Keira Jones, Poppy Carter and Mia Thacker have gained valuable experience as digital marketing consultants, enhancing their graduate portfolios, building sought-after digital skills, and delivering measurable results for the organisation.

Second year marketing student Jessica Ainscough has also made the most of the opportunities available to her. Working with her client Slate Developments (NW) Limited, she has developed and executed a LinkedIn strategy that has increased impressions, boosted reactions and achieved a higher engagement rate than their competitors. She was even offered a part-time role as Marketing Executive alongside her studies.
“Beyond improving my professional skills, I’ve strengthened my ability to think strategically and execute marketing strategy effectively. I’ve learned to trust my judgment and embrace the process. I’ve loved the experience and it’s such an interesting industry; it’s been amazing to make an impact and immerse myself in the company. The support from my university, consultancy project leaders, and especially Ruby and Mark from Slate Developments, has been incredible. I’ve gained so much confidence, and I was honestly shocked when I received a job offer. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity.”

BSc (Hons) Business & Economics student Corey Stokes has taken his studies global.
He had the incredible opportunity to represent the European Union at the United Nations in Vienna. He has worked alongside a group of international delegates to lay the groundwork for UN Water. The focus of this trip was to create a UN-led treaty that will secure sustainable water management, prevent and resolve water-related conflicts, and strengthen global climate resilience. Corey was able to engage in debates, build consensus across diverse regions and develop actionable proposals.
He also attended talks at the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation. He was able to gain valuable insight, as well as meet the Secretary General to Vienna.
