The Association for Student Residential Accommodation (ASRA), a leading body in student accommodation, runs annual awards to highlight the best student living options and give credit to the people who work hard to keep students safe and supported.
Their judging panel praised Edge Hill’s Accommodation Team for its passion to provide a welcoming space and for displaying “strong support for student wellbeing and safety through a variety of initiatives and accessible facilities”.
Director of Facilities Management Adrian McGillion said:
“Our student accommodation remains highly valued by our students and is a central aspect of why they choose to study here. I am really very proud of the recognition gained through the achievement of this award from ASRA, highlighting the team’s ongoing commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for our students.
“This accolade highlights the University’s unwavering commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where students can truly thrive.”
Accommodation Manager Bryan Tyrer and Accommodation Officer Colin Jones picked up the award on behalf of the team.
Bryan added:
“To win this ASRA award for two years running really does demonstrate the collaborative approach we have with colleagues right across the university.
“Aside from my Facilities Management colleagues, our Student Life Team play a pivotal role as do those in Student Support, Wellbeing and Counselling, and Inclusion; everyone is focused on doing what we can to make Edge Hill the best “home away from home” for our students.”
